The Bullying Epidemic

There seems to be an epidemic of bullying in today's society. It is causing harm to many individuals, especially children and teenagers. Bullying can take many forms, including physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying. Bullying can cause negative effects on mental health such as depression, anxiety and even thoughts of self harm. The impact of bullying can be felt by children and their families. Entire communities can be affected by bullying, especially if it escalates to violence like fights and school shootings. It is essential for schools, parents, churches and communities to work together to address this issue, and create safe environments where every child feels respected and valued. Every person is unique; our differences should be celebrated instead of being used as a basis for bullying.

Finding Solutions to Combat Bullying

One way to combat bullying is through education and awareness. For this reason, the Dailonna Dozier Help Foundation is hosting a live Zoom webinar on this important topic. Guest speaker, Marla Godette, founder of Mentoring Moments, LLC will discuss the effects of bullying on mental health. This event is recommended for parents, caregivers, teachers and anyone who works with youth. We invite you to join the conversation, so we can find solutions to combat bullying. By working together, we can create a safer and more compassionate society for all. See event details below.
